Documents customers will receive
Customs Receipt
Issued by the Customs Department to record and confirm the payment of duties and fees related to the import or export of goods. It includes details such as product type, quantity, payable duties, total amount, and receipt number for tracking and verification purposes.
Tax Invoice
An essential document for businesses subject to VAT collection. It allows buyers to verify tax payments and use it for tax refund claims. Key details include the seller’s name and address, the buyer’s name and address, issuance date, product/service details, tax rate, tax amount, and invoice number for tracking and auditing.
Customs Declaration Form
A mandatory document submitted to Customs when importing or exporting goods. It provides details such as product type, quantity, value, and origin. This form is vital for customs verification, tax and duty calculation. Any incorrect or incomplete information may cause delays or complications in the import/export process.
Certificate of Origin (Form E)
A document certifying the origin of goods, specifically used under the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA) agreement. It enables exporters to claim tariff reduction benefits when exporting goods to other ASEAN member countries.

How to Calculate Shipping Charges
When shipping goods to Thailand, the shipping cost is calculated based on the higher value between the actual weight (kg) and the cubic weight (Q or Cubic Meter). The method used depends on the type of goods and the shipping company’s policies:
- Heavy but small items: Shipping is calculated based on actual weight.
- Large but light items: Shipping is calculated based on cubic weight.
Actual Weight (Kg)
Shipping cost = Weight of goods × Rate per kilogram Example: A 55 kg item with a shipping rate of 25 THB/kg = 55 × 25 = 1,375 THB
Cubic Weight (Q)
Shipping cost = Volume (Q or cubic meter) × Rate per cubic meter Volume is calculated as: Length × Width × Height (cm) ÷ 1,000,000 = Cubic Meter (Q)
